NAS signs ground handling agreement with Air Arabia- Egypt

NAS announced the signing of an agreement with Air Arabia- Egypt for the provision of ground handling and support services at the Kuwait International Airport on June 2nd 2010. Air Arabia- Egypt is the 27th scheduled passenger Airline to join us. Through this agreement, NAS has agreed to provide Air Arabia- Egypt with airline ground handling services like ground/ramp support, passenger services and cargo management. Passengers traveling on Air Arabia- Egypt will be able to take advantage of other value added services provided by NAS like the Meet & Assist, the Pearl Lounge for First & Business Class Passengers.
The Inaugural included an official ribbon cutting ceremony at the check-in counters at the Kuwait Airport, followed by a cake cutting ritual. It took place with Senior Management of NAS, Air Arabia- Egypt and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) present. NAS is excited about having our new addition Air Arabia- Egypt joining our Airline customer family.
Air Arabia Egypt is a new budget airline to be based in Egypt, and established as a joint venture between Air Arabia in Sharjah, UAE, and Travco Group, a large Egyptian travel and tourism company. Air Arabia Egypt received its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) according to a press release 22 May 2010. Air Arabia will start commercial flights from beginning of June 2010 to Khartoum and Kuwait, operating out of Burj Al Arab International Airport (Borg El Arab Aiport, airport code HBE) in Alexandria. Air Arabia Egypt destinations are likely to be the MENA (Middle East North Africa) region and Europe. Air Arabia Egypt aircraft to be leased from Air Arabia in the UAE, and/or other airlines/aircraft suppliers
