DGCA Introduces Kuwait - Mosafer App for all Travelers

The Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) in Kuwait has introduced a new web-based application called “Kuwait – Mosafer” (kuwaitmosafer.com) for the convenience of all travelers departing from and arriving to Kuwait post August 1.
Developed by National Aviation Services (NAS), “Kuwait-Mosafer” will be launched on July 28.
Kuwait will be the first airport in the region to leverage technology to implement a single platform to assist travelers in fulfilling Covid-19 travel requirements ahead of time, thus reducing queuing at the airport as well as other disruptions. Health declarations, guidance and checklists from the Kuwait DGCA, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Interior are all included on the portal.
The app has been developed with three key objectives that include protecting the health of passengers and airport staff by improving awareness and enabling contactless procedures. It assists passengers in fulfilling post COVID-19 travel requirements, which will help reduce waiting times and disruption. And it also helps airport operators overcome the challenges of reduced capacity due to social distancing by offering advance service bookings such as check-in appointments.
It is mandatory for anyone travelling to or from Kuwait, to register on the app which is available in English and Arabic.
To register, passengers must go to www.kuwaitmosafer.com and input their flight details which will allow them to book appointments for PCR testing (where needed), complete travel declarations, and book airport services such as lounges, meet and assist and baggage delivery.
The app can be accessed from your mobile phone, laptop or personal computer. A 24-hour helpdesk is available to answer queries or address any technical challenges.
This technology – the first of its kind in the Middle East- will also serve as a communication gateway between passengers and authorities. Travelers are invited to enter comments, feedback, seek assistance, and advise on any unsanitary locations within the airport for immediate rectification.
NAS strongly advices all travelers to check the PCR testing, quarantine procedures and visa requirements for their respective destination country beforehand. This should be done well in advance of their flights to ensure they book the test according to the required timelines.
For arriving passengers, the app allows you to register yourself before a flight and enter the prerequisite PCR test results four days ahead.
“Kuwait-Mosafer” is just one of many initiatives launched by the DGCA to ensure that the airport operates with the highest health standards all the while serving its passengers to world class levels.
